Idea of the project / project description / runtime

Bringing up students tolerance through intercultural dialogue and communication; overcoming stereotypes. The 1-st step: "About stereotypes" Questionnaire (April-May 2008); The 2-nd step: "National culture special features" (September - November 2008); The 3-rd step: "Youth sub-culture" (January - May 2009).

1. Research work about the Russian - Austrian - Finnish stereotypes with a questionnaire. (in April - MAy 2008) 2. National culture (November 2008) 3. Youth sub-culture (May 2009) 1.Who? 1.Natalia Slabkiy, 14 years old, Russia, "I think this project is very important because we can communicate and make friends. When we met all together we understood that we have lots in common: interests, problems and even ideas! Moreover, now we can realise what a tolerant person is. I'm happy to be the participant of this great project!"

2.Irina Bakhareva, 14 years old, Russia, "As for me, I think the project is really interesting and important. I've found out a huge number of fascinating facts about different cultures, different people and their characters. I managed to expend fronteres and overcome a lot of stereotypes. I truly enjoyed it and hope to keep taking part in such kind of activities. P.S. And, banal it seems, but I've made a lot of friends."

3.Maria Filatova, 14 years old, Russia, "This project is great. It's a good chance to know more about different cultures "at first hand". Although the schedule was complicated enough, we had a lot of fun. And, of course, it's great that we can understand each other, because everybody speaks English!"
