5. Idea of the project / project description / runtime // Entstehung der Projektidee / Projektbeschreibung / Laufzeit
'The Wisdom of folk fairy tales is the background of this project. The cultural heritage of Lithuania and Slovakia open the doors to the rich world of nature, architecture, art and people. Their traditions lead us to warm meetings and better understanding of each other as well as European cultural roots - our roots.'
6. Aims of the project // Projektziele
The project aims to prepare students and all school community for intercultural dialogue. They are going to study local environment, architecture, art, language and the traditions of the two countries. By means of creating stories about partner countries they will directly learn to live, analyze and discuss together.

Creative development:
- Structural plan of a fairy-tale (teachers team ) - Create stories about partner countries (students team ) - Visit castles, museums and other historical places in the town and record to the digital camera (students and teachers) - Make traditional meals and photos of the process (students, teachers and families) - Show an improvisational performance, using created stories and music, record it to the digital video camera (students and teachers of both partner schools) - Create a computer montage using photos, records and music (Students and teachers of both partner schools) - Create a booklet for the project topic (students and teachers of both partner schools) - Organise meeting in Kosice,- cultural programme/dialogue/living in families,discoteque, youth tourism in the Old Town, museums. Both schools exchange souvenirs and project production - CD, booklets about school activities...(10/11/12 April) - Organise meeting in Vilnius, -living together in youth tourism centre, studies in the Old Town and museums, joint performance-dialogue at the school, inviting writer, experts from partner organisations and institutions, show both CD records and give evaluating conclusions. Experts and institutions give certificates to the participating teams( April) - Project presentation in Austria (Graz) and Slovenia (Maribor)(25 - 28 May)

as the result of long lasting information exchange the dates and places for meeting will be chaged. We desided to meet on half of way - Krakow, Poland - one of most beautiful places of Europe. Object of our conversation is Medievial castle Wawel and Royal chambers, foot turizm (Basilica of St.Francis',stately Romanesque, build 1237-1269. Masterpieces stunning floral decor and stain-glass windows by artist and plywright Stanislaw Wyspianski from the turn of the 20th century, notably "The Creation" above church entrance. Adjoing Franciskan monastery, 15th century admirable cloister with the 15th and 16th century fine frescoes. Jagellonian University at planty ring of gardens, Basilica of the Virgin Mary's at the Grand square, town fortification - St. Florians gate. Seeking to find cheapest means for transportation we are planing long period.The dates for traveling cross borders and meeting in Krakow: 19/20/21/22/23/24 April 2008.
